We took a short vacation to the Czech Republic... There we were fortunate enough to be able to visit a Czech puppet artist Jan Ruzicka and his family at his home. Nothing to do with Ellery Queen apart from the fact that Jan delivers excellent workmanship! You can see his work at his site here.
Befitting we have a Czech cover for 'The House of Brass' opening our highlights this month. In a country where it's people read and write a lot no surprise
! No prizes for guessing the originis of the Finnish cover for 'The Devil to Pay'. Again NY takes center stage... The Tragedy of X... German style

House of Brass - Czech edition, 1973The Devil to Pay - cover Finnish edition 1950 ...Die Zange - cover German edition Goldmann Bd. K 55

Q.B.I.: 2 better and 3 new covers. The latter corresponding with the red numerals in the list.

Here it is: (tada) nine years online!
In our section Pastiches we added some interesting information from Japan!
What would happen if Maigret, Ellery Queen and Hercule Poirot met in Tokyo? ... Continue here...
Another 'saucy' cover for an Ellery Queen story, this time the culprit is a Spanish editor for The Tragedy of X. The French editions
by Editions Albin Michel - Le Limier all have an excellent cover. The one for "The Dragon's Teeth" is no exception!

The Tragedy of X - cover Spanish edition, Ediciones Picazo, 1975The Egyptian Cross Mystery - cover Spanish edition, Misterio colección Naranja. Nº 1, BrugueraCalamity Town - cover German edition, Ullstein, Nr.1809The Dragon's Teeth - cover French edition Editions Albin Michel - Le Limier, 1950
