In order to maximize the quality of your listening experience, it was my decision to choose the Advanced Streaming Format (ASF). This compressed file format is used by the Microsoft MediaPlayer to transfer sound over telephone connections at a compressed rate of 35:1 without any appreciable loss of signal. The Microsoft Media Player ASF is recognized by Internet Exploreur.

Both are offered as a free downloads from this site.

The minimum hardware requirements are:

• Pentium level processor with a 28.8K modem. Please note that a 28.8K modem will allow for approximately 1 minute of real time listening before the buffers must be re-filled.
  
• Buffers for a 28.8K modem should be set to 30 seconds. This can be done by going to the "View" menu, then "Settings" then selecting "Windows Media Source Filter" and entering 30 seconds in the "Buffer" option.
  
• If you are using a 56K modem, you should be able to listen to the complete demo without interruptions but as a precaution I recommend that you set the buffers to a minimum of 10 seconds.
